Happy Creative New Year!

Happy Creative New Year everyone! I spent New Years Eve making a doll with our five year old daughter Polly. Just before bed time she said - "Mum, I want to make a doll with moving arms and legs. Can I have some fabric to draw on?" I did the sewing and stuffing and then she requested the plaits and fringe. She's named her Poppy. She didn't go to bed until it was finished.

I love this! I can't wait until my girls are a little older so that I can do fun things like this with them.
P.S. Father Christmas brought your book all the way to Canada for me. I love it! What an inspiration. I have been hoarding vintage floral sheets for about a decade in hopes of making some quilts. Maybe this will be the year that I get to all my sewing projects.

Wow what a sense of colour! This reminds me of the dolls the artist Mira Mora used to make with the kids at Preshil (school in Melbourne, Austrslia). Jean
