Bedroom tidy - Marimekko style!

I spent some of today sorting out our bedroom only to discover 90% of my clothes are striped! My clothes hanging space looks like something from a 70s Marimekko catalogue! I also re-discovered a bag I'd made years ago from some wonderful vintage Marimekko fabric - it's the green stem one hanging up.

Here are some of my vintage retro picture dominoes and snap cards from my ever growing collection. I love the art work and get so excited when I discover a set I don't have! (I was like this with albums when I was a teenager so I think I've regressed!)

Revamped kitchen cupboard for Orla mugs etc..

I picked up this old glass cabinet from Totnes market a while ago and although I initially had fabrics in it, I decided my Orla Kiely mag collection and other vintage pieces would look better in it, in the kitchen area. It needs a bit more of a paint (I might paint coloured doors) but I think it suits these items better

60s Pop Art Flower Power Cushion

Here are some more 60s fabric cushions available now from my site. It's easy to see how these type of fabrics have influenced designers such as Orla Kiely. This fabric still looks on trend 50 years later!

Dartington Hall Gardens

We had a really relaxing weekend (for a change!) and spent Saturday afternoon walking around Dartington Hall Gardens, relaxing and eating in the sun. This is one of my favourite all time places to visit.
