NEW screen printed retro bunnies by Jane Foster

Here are my new bunnies ready for Spring 2011. They've been hand screen printed onto linen and the bodies are mostly vintage fabric from the 60s and 70s. They're 15 inches tall and will soon be available from my etsy shop. More choice will be available soon!

Handmade miniature matchbox books

I started making mini matchbox books years ago - I'm sure it was from seeing the mini books the Bronte sister's made. I love opening small boxes to find a secret inside. We have this old cupboard on our landing we've dedicated to my mini books and matchboxes - a great find from Brighton boot sale many years ago! I shall gradually do some posts on them as I've lots and I wouldn't want to bore you!

I used to collect images that I liked and varnish them. One of my favourite all time paintings is the Girl in the blue beret by Lucian Freud in 1951. I had a print of this on my wall for years and still love it.

50s folk cushion and others

Here are three more 50s fabric cushions to be listed on my site shortly - the latest one is the 50s folk art fabric bark cloth with the black background. The others are both by Marian Mahler. This was bought from the States.

Here are my new A3 'Flowers for Polly' screen prints now available in red or turquoise.

The flower pot was inspired by Orla Kiely.

Large Scandinavian bedspread

Here's my large Scandinavian bedspread / quilt still in progress. The last photo shows the initial fabric layout which has since been changed. I love putting together bright contrasting fabrics, especially on dull rainy days like today!
