Jane Foster's white studio floor

I decided to take up the unpractical carpet in my studio to paint the floor white, adding more light. Am really pleased with the quick result. (Thanks to my partner!)

It looks great! -But you don't do your printing there, do you? I find it a bit difficult to combine sewing and printing in the same room.

I love your space! Can I ask if your floor is just concete? As I am thinking of painting our floor white without polishing it - but it's concrete and everyone puts me off the idea!

Hmm... I have a work space too... somewhere .... well hidden lol... better start this weekend to dig my way through to it... instead of sitting at the kitchen table lol....

The floor is horrid chipboard but looks fine when painted. Two coats of special floor paint were used with a roller - if it ever gets scuffed, we can touch it up. We stuck special felt pads on the bottom of all the stools and chair legs so they won't mark the floor. I do some screen printing here - up to A3 . The room used to be a bedroom and has an en-suite shower room attached to it which is very handy to wash the silk screens in. My main screen printing though is done downstairs as it can be a bit messy!

Oh to have such a big space... we're crammed in a tiny spare room but we dream! Thanks for sharing - I love seeing where people work/create and your space is beautiful.
