I'm so sad that Lucienne Day has died. She's always been my favourite designer and I've absolutely loved her work. She's been a true inspiration and is a huge loss to the design world. I'm going to frame some of her fabrics to put on my study wall to pay homage to her. Here are a few that I've collected that I will frame.

just found your blog and love your collections of ceramics and other objects. Have you heard of the papier mache artist Gemma Taccogna ( I hope that's right!) Some of your figures remind me of her figure shapes.
Oh God, how did I miss that, what a hero. Very sad. Nice tribute.

I felt very sad when I heard this news. I have just started a textile printing course which is focusing on her work. Thank you for posting this.
Sad to read that news Jane. Thanks to you I developed a love of her work and thought that her textiles were just amazing. I think thats a great idea to frame some of her wonderful fabric. Jo x
Wow you are so lucky to have some beautiful examples of her work in your collection,
really good obituary here http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/2010/feb/03/lucienne-day-obituary
I love her, too, and hadn't heard that she had passed away. So sad. You're lucky to have so many pretty examples of her fabric. They're so hard to find here.
