I've just collected a silver ring I commissioned someone to make with some original 50s patterned formica that I bought recently. Am really pleased with result and am going to save up to have a bright red one made too!
Congratulations on your piece in 'Coast' - it came through my letter box this morning. Loving the red and white spot coat. I shall look forward to a proper read later.
OH MY GOD! I love this ring, that's such an awesome idea. Ages ago I saw somewhere on the internet some fantastic rings that used sections of 50's ceramics with similar fantastic results. I really wish I could remember where I saw them!
That´s beautiful! What a great idea! There´s a woman here in Sweden who makes jewellery from pieces of old plates and such, from the pretty patterns from the 50s and 60s, like BersÃ¥. You can see her things here: http://www.signerat.se/butik/halsband/bersa-blad-halsband/index.php

Oh, you clever girl! Love it.
beautiful. I want one!
How cool. You could also have some groovy cuff links made in a similar design.
