Beautiful illustrations! Pieces of artwork, those illustrations in children's books from the seventies. One of my favorites is "Rosie's walk".
I tried to make an embroidery based on the illustrations a while ago (see link).
Other beautiful books are: "The snowy day", by Ezra Jack Keats, and also "Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel". Not to mention Roger Duvoisin's Petunia. I had them all in my childhood.
